Theory of Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a system of therapy involving the needing of precisely specified points on the surface of the body.
This is in accordance with a coherent physiology derived from the philosophical concepts of humans and their relationships with the natural environment.
Fundamental to oriental philosophy in general and acupuncture in particular is concept of Qii (energy in English) .
This energy- which seems to correspond to fluctuations in the body's electro magnetic field- is described as flowing along pathways near the surface of the skin( It is called Kyongrak).
Evaluation of the exact nature and degree of energy imbalance, resulting in disease is the aim of traditional oriental diagnostic procedures.
These involve a precise, sequental consideration of data, obtained by clinical observations, interrogations and palpation of the pulse.

Traditional Korean Herbal Medicine
Korean herbal medicine has been practised in Korea for more than 4,000 years as a personalized medicine. Korean medicine doctor precribe after make a diagnosis of human pulse. It is based on the Yin and Yang theory as well as the interaction of the five elements. ( Wood, Fire, Water, Metal and Earth )
Korean medicine doctors consider the human body as a whole. Any Illness is not an isolated ailment of a particular organ but instead a disharmony between more than one organs. Other factors a Korean medicine doctors would consider during diagnosis are the living environment, social relationship, climate conditions as well as the diet factors. Emphasis is placed on harmonizing the function of the body, thereby the body heals itself (similar to improving the immune system of the body in a western concept).
From our experience, the following are some of the most common ailments that we encounter in our clinic:
* Headache
* Stomachache
* Tiredness
* Common cold and flu
* Digestive problems
* Premenstrual syndrome and menstrual pain
* Insomnia and tiredness
* Empyema
* Constipation
* Acne
* Obesty
* Impotency and infertility
Beside raw herbs, we also stock traditional Korean Herbal Formulas in granule and pill form. They are much more gentle to the palate of general public.
Moxibustion
Moxibustion therapy means treating disease with ignited moxawool to produce heat on the points of Kyongrak or certain location of the human body. Moxawool is made of dry moxa leaves(Artemisia Vulgaria) ground into a fine powerder with the coarse residue removed. It has the properties of warming and removing obstruction of the channels. eliminating the cold and damp factors and thus promoting the function of the organs. It is considered that the order the moxawool the better
Acupresure Pressure-Point Cupping therapy
Using the same theory as Acupuncture, Acupressure Pressure-Point Cupping therapy can provide relief for miner symptoms like stress induced headache, and neck, shoulder pain. The practitioner uses finger pressure, suction cup and at last ceramic cupping on acupuncture points instead of needles. After a treatment session, you can see the traces of the cuuping therapy. In theory, applied Acupressure Pressure-Point Ceramic Cupping therapy release tension and other obstacles, which then allows the increase of natural immunity from disease and Qii to flow freely.
The functions of Acupresure Pressure-Point Ceramic Cupping Treatment are;
* For pain relief and restoration of balance between the upper and lower body.
